The artist came to this area from London, England as a youth in the 1950s, and a decade later studied art at the University of Tennessee under Knoxville 7 artist and first art department chair C. Kermit "Buck" Ewing. Procession is a rare early example of his printmaking, and shows the influence of 17th century etchings by Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) such as Presentation at the Temple (1639). |
